I just had to post that what Teri from AVAR says in her correspondences w/
Alicia is REPULSIVE!  I cannot believe a group that supposedly represents
1500 veterinarians OPPOSES animals being kept as pets!  Don't they TREAT
pets???  I'm confused...
 
Regardless, I'll be sure to steer clear of these groups, and any OTHER
groups that support this stand.  If you all recall, this all started when
people on the FML set out to discover whether or not MF was actually trying
to set up shop in France.  Now it's turned into THIS!  It's amazing what
you can learn second-hand!  I sincerely hope that Teri's views are NOT
shared by the majority of AVAR board members & the like.  I hope she is
just off her rocker & boardering on senile - & *not* representing the views
of the supposed 5000+ AVAR membership.
 
To say I was (& have been) upset over the letters posted here as of late
would be an understatement.  I am too emotional a person to go writing
letters to Ms. Teri...I would sound like a lunatic & most likely fuel her
idiotic ideas.  I DO encourage those who HAVE been writing to CONTINUE
writing; perhaps find ANOTHER person to correspond with!!!  Maybe we should
cross-reference the opinions of those in AVAR...as I said before, HOPEFULLY
she is the only one w/ these views & she now just happens to have the
"forum" or outlet to voice them.
 
This is by no means a *flame*...if anything I am whole-heartedly *flaming*
TERI & AVAR!  :P As I said before, please continue your correspondence w/
this group, in hopes that *some day* we'll reach an INTELLIGENT individual
who will listen to common sense!
 
There are my 15 cents...I really just had to say what was on my mind
regarding this situation.  It SADDENS me, really.  Let's all PRAY that this
will all be put to rest knowing that our BABIES are protected, perhaps that
MF & other mills are shut down, but by no means PRIVATE REPUTABLE BREEDERS!

[PS] I also realized that in one of Teri's letters she mentioned that
ferrets are euthanized in shelters.  Am I mistaken, or aren't most, if not
ALL the ferret shelters in this country NO KILL???  If anything, it is the
DOG/CAT shelters that may receive a ferret & euthanize it without calling a
ferret shelter to pick it up...I'm sorry I'm rambling on!
