I was driving home from St. Louis today 12/9 listening to KLOU 103.3 the
oldies station  out of St. Louis, Mo.  At around 10 am this morning, the
radio dj started telling the story of Tyson and the 2 ferrets.  This led to a
discussion between the female dj and the 2 male dj's.  I am most upset by
their conversation.  The one male dj stated over the air that ferrets are
evil.  He kept repeating this.  Supposedly according to him, he was "exposed"
to ferrets when he was 6 or 7 years old and the evil things chased him
around.  He kept using the word EVIL.  He also talked like a ferret had no
merit, because they are only weasels.  The 3 Dj's also made fun of the fact
that a "volunteer shelter" was called to take the live ferret away when
Tyson's people called. They made kept making jokes over the air about a
shelter being a volunteer.  This whole episode was treated like a joke
instead of serious, sick news!  I am calling the radio station to complain in
the morning.  I had to research to find a phone number.  If anyone would want
the phone or address of this radio station, just email me.  We MUST put a
STOP to the ignorance that was put out over the radio airwaves today.  St.
Louis is already ignorant as to ferrets and ferrets are illegal in that city.
 This radio station just helped promote the ignorance. As the proud owner of
6 ferrets, I am always trying to educate people on ferrets.
