The specific bacterial species are different for humans and ferrets.
Humans get Helicobacter pylori while ferrets get Helicobacter mustelae.
While the two behave similarly, and ferrets have been used for testing
for ulcer treatments because of the similarities, one cannot "catch" the
disease from the other.
