Our shelter is still in dire need.  We just had a shelter ferret come in
looking very thin.  The owner said she'd always been that way, but she
wasn't thriving, so we took her to the vet and she was loaded with
Cocidiosis and may have ulcers as well.  Fortunately, no other ferrets seem
to be affected, though we have to treat them all and their tests were
negative for the parasite, but we are in great need for duck soup
materials: ferrevite or nutracal; A/D food (found at vet); jars of lamb,
and beef baby food (high protein); ensure plus in banana, vanilla or
strawberry; and Alsoy or Isomil baby formula (also high in protein).  These
materials in addition to IV fluids and Pedialyte for dehydration are
greatly needed.
 
For those of you who have sent hammocks, etc., many thanks....we are set
for a while.  We really need items to sustain those ferrets who are ill.
