I just discovered that ferrets are illegal in my town. This was caused by
the law regulating pets being passed many years ago when most people had
never heard of our fuzz kids. The law says that all animals are illegal as
pets and then specifically excludes animals like cats, dogs, and the like.
I have some influence with my town council and I want them to change the
law. However, I also want to have the facts to back up my request. Can
anybody tell me if Pennsylvania law defines our fur butts as domestic pets?
Can any body tell me where Pennsylvania indicates that ferrets are to be
treated the same as cats and dogs for purposes of the rabies quarantine?

Any help would be appreciated so neither I or my six go to jail.

Dale
