Thank you all for your very helpful advice.  I thought you might like an
update on how my 2.5 neutered male, Tally is doing.  The specialist vet
(multi-d's!) has x-rayed and says he has an enlarged spleen.  Apparently
these go up and down in size for no apparent reason.  Is this right?  He
also has a low platelet count.  The vet wants Tally back in 10 days time
for more blood tests and meanwhile I have to feed him up.  For some reason,
I haven't received any FML updates so if anyone has tried to reach me
there, I'm very sorry but I haven't got anything.  However, my email is
still working and thank you everyone that wrote to me there.
