If the bite is a deep punction wound, make sure you are up to date on
tetenus shots (you should have a booster every 10 years). Otherwise just
normal keeping the wound clean and dry, and applying an antibiotic ointment
to prevent infections is all you need. Ferrets rarely contract rabies, and
are even less likely to shed the virus. If Sampson had it, you would know
within days, because he would be dead. There is nothing else he could give
you.
