I have a couple of questions which someone out there should be able to answer
fairly easily:
1) What are good toys for ferrets? I don't want to give them anything which
they could get sick on or injured by, and don't want to give them anything
they would find BORing. So what sort of toy, besides the old standboy,
wadded-up-newspaper-in-a-large-cardboard-box, is good for them?
2) My first ferret, Frieda-weasel, sometimes had fleas. So what I did at
such times is give her a bath in LUKEWARM water, first using Dr. Bronner's
Eucalyptus Liquid Soap, then a rinse, then a second go-over with Ferret-Glo,
a toning shampoo for ferrets that was supposed to be good for their skin and
wouldn't dry it out. The combination seemed to be fine for her. Would there
be any reason for NOT using Dr. Bronner's Eucalyptus Liquid Soap on a ferret,
to get rid of fleas (which it does, very nicely; eucalyptus oil is extremely
toxic to fleas, yet _apparently_ harmless to mammals. I wanted to
double-check and make sure that I wouldn't be hurting my babies by using this
sort of bath on them.
Thanks, Yael, Frank&Jessie (the Dreaded Gang of Two)
