Hi, all, and thank you for the input...Leopold is indeed nuetered, and his mum
can't afford textbooks, much less another weexle; and I certainly don't use my
hand as a wrestling toy. When he jumps on my hand (which he tends to lick
only) I let it lay as still as I can so he will think, "Oh, boring boring, but
oh my, there's a dancing sock/toy dog whose nose i recently ripped off/fishnet
stocking remnant to attack instead!" When he even approaches feet I get my
finger in thumping position, and as soon as he strikes I holler "NO" and thump
him. Luckily, I live alone, and he's not likely to be exposed to anyone he
hasn't met and, more importantly, to someone either young or mean who might get
bitten and who would call animal control. Late at night I let him run around
the hall, and if anyone that I don't know shows up and wants to hold him or
play with him, I tell them that he's a little excited and agitated about being
in a strange place and he's likely to scratch...which is true.
As far as him dumping my drinks, I consider that my fault for leaving them
where he can get at them. No reason to punish him for my negligence...stealing
the smokes is part of his nature, so I'm not angry at him about that
either...his new toy is a box of Q-tips. He opens it with his busy nose and
pulls them out one by one, running in a little circle with it like a trophy,
then going for the next one.
The most hysterical thing he has done to date, however, was gallop over to
greet me when I got home...with a condom in his mouth!! Unwrapped!! Luckily
it wasn't lubed or treated with anything, and he didn't eat any of the latex,
but it was so funny...here comes my little sweetling, teeth clamped around the
bottom edge of the ring, the top edge laying against his forehead, so he looked
like he had a big reservoir tip for a nose. I was kind of horrified that he
has such a penchant for grown-up toys, like condoms and smokes--I consider him
my little one--but I was laughing like hell as I wrested his new thrill from
him.
Enough chatter from me--
Thanks,
merrily...Jodi and Leopold
