Just the opposite.  These are animals descended from burrow dwelling
animals which were active at dawn and dusk.  There's some incidental
evidence (no hard research on this or on anything else yet hypothetically
connected to adrenal neoplasias) that it might actually be best to provide
them with more REAL DARKNESS (not just dimness) -- dark sleeping areas,
with covers, boxes, and/or cage covers for maybe 10 to 14 hours each 24.
