PLEASE HELP!
I adopted two ferrets in early March and have been extremely pleased and
satisfied with one exception - The female, "Podo", who has been a biter
since she was a baby, has become extremely aggressive with my daughter.
She literally will chase her down and attack! We have pulled her off of my
daughter one too many times! I have a compassionate heart and want to help
her. I love her and do not want to let her go. But, my husband is not
compassionate and said "one more time and she is out of here". What can
I do to train her not to bite? I have done the nose flicking (as a last
resort), time out, no-no's, even squirting her with a water bottle, but
nothing seems to phase her. I need some advise. She is only a year and
1/2 old, so I know she can be trained. She lets me bathe her, clip her
nails, hold and pet her, but if she gets close to skin she will latch on.
I have a wonderful scar on the end of my nose to prove that. Is there
hope? Please let me know!?!
