This is most excellent PR for our fuzzy friends. Thanks to everyone for
sharing this story!

We ordered some items about 2.5 years ago (or so) and they were packed in
a box of shredded paper. It seemed like a waste to throw out such a
potentially perfect ferret toy. I no longer remember their initial
frenzied response to it since the box quickly became a place to wrestle and
to sleep. All the ferrets take turns curling up in the box of paper to
this very day.
Two things you'll need to do are: pick of stray paper bits that escape the
box and fluff up the paper occasionally. Other then that, it is a great
toy and nesting item. I hope your fuszz's enjoy it as much as our's have.

I see you are posting from Cornell. Have you tried right there on campus?
Cornell is, amongst other things, well known for veterinary medicine and
perhaps you could get a referral there.
The only vets I could suggest from personal experience are quite a trip
from Ithaca.
