Hi Everyone,

I wanted to let you know that my reading went fine. I got a wonderful pep
talk from Joan on the fml. Thanks, it helped. I was the second to read
and greatly enjoyed the looks of shock from the short I read. It is rather
wicked, and all who have read it have enjoyed it. But these poor folks
didn't know me or know what type of things I like to write, and well, some
rather way too serious folks in poetry were there. All in all, it was very
fun and I am glad I did it. Something I will have to get used to being a
writer. But then, I have also had a fair amount of audio production
experience, so I do have background to work from. But live audiences.
ugh. It just still scares me silly.

My short story class all wants to come to the house to have a final party.
They think, for some silly reason, that a bunch of drunk writers will fit
right in with a bunch of ferrets. Oh yes, even there my passion for my
ferts is well known. They are all quite sick of looking at pictures of
them. Of course, one guy who is a very good friend thinks it will be neat
to see my three footed ferret Samson, since he has a three footed dog.
Yes, we are both suckers. :-)

I am planning on making several trips this summer, but probably won't be
getting around to see any ferret folks. Actually, I am traveling to visit
many friends who I have made from this list, but they will be the only ones
inflicted with my presence. Because of circumstances, I will be gradually
reducing my ferret related activity. I have actually already done so, this
list is the last bit of it. I am proud of what I have done on it though,
especially with the help of Noni and her pt for ferrets.

Well folks, finals are next week then I have a couple weeks off before I
start up again. Cross your fingers, this old broad is getting too old for
this I think. ;-)

Miss Stella says hello to all. She was on the pooter earlier, doing who
knows what.

hugs,

Margaret
