Hello Bob,

I am not a vet, but a shelter person, and in reading your post I can't help
wondering-- prior to your ferret getting sick, were there any changes inthe
household routine? Were any new ferret(s) introduced in the home?

Sometimes changes , owners going on vacaction, introducing new ferrets can
cause stress upset in ferrets which results in ulcers, and / or heliobacter
infections. *If* this were the case the vet would need to administer
sucralfate ( administered 4-5 times a day) prior to food then follow by
food, amoxy ( usual 2x daily doseage) and then if there is diarrhea,
lomotil.

Whatever thbe reason, your ferret went too long without food, and you will
need to assist it by administereing a duck soup recipe to help boost the
energy level and blood sugar levels, assisting the ferret in the healing
process.

I would be happy to answer any further questions as IO can... but please
discuss this possibility with your ferret experienced vet...

fondly in ferrets,
alicia
