Request for Submissions (STAGE ONE)
As mentioned in the previous post, I will start compiling the FML's ferret
poetry, songs, & stories into a printable book. This is a request for
those of you who have their original submissions to send them directly to
myself along with permission to use it the book.

Ferret related poetry and songs are of course always awesome! If you
have any other pieces that you (or your ferrets) have created, then you
are welcome to submit them. The general guidelines for acceptability are
nearly identical to that of the Ferret Mailing List.

To submit a piece, please send an e-mail to [log in to unmask] in the
following format (or similar).

         Attn: Ferret Poem Book

I would like to submit the following work/s.
I <your real name here> give permission for this work
to be included in the Ferret Poem Book.
          I <do>/<do not> grant permission to ferret
          clubs/organizations/webpages to use my work.

There once was a ferret named Bob,
Who blah blah blah blah blah blah blah,
                   Blah blah blah blah blah,
                   Blah blah blah blah blah,
Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah!

                              by Bandit Weaselopolis, MA
                              (Limerick - Raisins)

BIOGRAPHY: (Optional - 50 words or less)
Bandit is a sable hob from Boston who enjoys digging plants
and getting in trouble. He can be reached at [log in to unmask]
or www.bweasel.com. His personal motto is
"Give me a raisin and no plants will be hurt!"

PERMISSION: A notation will be made for each author indicating whether
ferret clubs/organizations may re-print the poem in non-profit newsletters,
fund-raising events, or personal web-pages. Author information must still
be displayed with all copies of the poem, so you will still be recognized.

POEM: Make sure punctuation and spelling are the way you want them to
appear. Some people/ferrets intentionally misspell words for artistic
reasons. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE PROOFREAD! The editor doesn't know what
are mistakes, and what isn't (Me no smart is).

NAME/STATE: Your name, your ferret's name, "Anonymous", "Outlaw Ferret",
etc. This can be a real name, or a pseudonym. Please indicate your real
state though.

California residents: Don't worry, I won't reveal your true identity. Just
convince ME that you wrote the poem.

TYPE OF POEM: (Optional) If you indicate what type of work this is, I
will be less likely to make any mistakes. Feel free to specify the type
of poem, and one or two categories. Some examples include:

- Type: Haiku, Limerick, Free Form, Song, or Story
- Holidays: Christmas, Easter, Halloween, St. Patrick's Day, Daylight
  Savings, etc.
- Milestones: Kit-hood, First Birthday, Geriatrics, Rainbow Bridge
  (loss), etc.
- Themes: Raisins, Socks, Plants, Friends, Illnesses, California
  Freedom Movement, F.L.O. etc.

BIOGRAPHY: (Optional), 50 words or less describing the author (whether
ferret or human), or how to reach the author (e-mail and webpages only
though). Remember that this information WILL be publicly accessible,
and spammers may find it, so submit e-mail information at your own
risk. Be creative!
