>I'm having something of a problem right now and I thought I could get some
>help by posting here. I *had* a couple good vets that I trusted, were
>good with the ferrets, etc, but this weekend I really needed to have one
>of my guys seen and they had no appointments available before Wednesday
>(maybe even longer).
If it was an emergency situation, I wouldn't have even called to see if
they could take me in. I would have gone straight to the clinic and
caused a scene if necessary. Been there, done that. :-) Usually it's the
receptionist that causes the problem, as she did for me. When told they
couldn't see me without an appointment, I said, "Oh yeah? You just go back
there and get Dr. xxxx and we'll see about that." Also helps to throw in a
comment on how much money you spend there and how many people you've
referred to them.
Of course you wouldn't want to do this for something that could wait a day
or two, but it doesn't sound like that was the case.
For the ferrets,
Mike
