The law firm my wife works for, McDermott, Will & Emory, has a L.A. branch
and at least one of the attorneys there is involved in ferret legal issues
in that area.
 
I don't know where you are in relation to L.A., but if you're close, you
might want to look them up in the phone book and give a call.
