That insurance company CANNOT deny you on the basis of owning a
"non-domesticated pet" because ferrets ARE DOMESTICATED animals!!!!!!!!
They better get their facts straight before denying people insurance ...
or they might just be liable, themselves, for a lawsuit!!!  ;(
 
I'm in California - you know, the only other state besides Hawaii where
ferrets are illegal!  ;( The Dept.  of Fish & Game here ERRONEOUSLY, not to
mention illegally, put them on a list of wild animals (therefore illegal to
own as pets) in the 1930's where they've remained ever since.  Trying to
get the laws corrected and changed has been very difficult, to say the
least.  Anyway, if that insurance company wants proof, all they have to do
is look it up in the dictionary!  Best of luck to you, you go get 'em, girl!
