I too have a major problem with this.  I chat with people daily, be it
on the internet or at work, or in public.  The initial response usually
includes the words 'rodent' or 'stink'.  There is no convincing them
otherwise either.  Very frustrating.  My girlfriend & I are proudly owned
by 6 ferrets.  Wouldn't have it any other way.
