Unless something has changed real recently, and I doubt it has, there is
no test for ECE.  Since they're not sure of the exact virus that causes
the disease, there's no way to test for it... or at least that's my
understanding of the reason.
 
If there's some new test out there, please tell us all about it.  I'm sure
there are thousands of ferret owners and veterinarians that would love to
know about this test.
