Without getting into too big a debate here.....
 
Why must it be a religious issue?  First of all, animals do not practice
religion at all.  If you think yours does, you are demented.
 
The Rainbow Bridge is a mythical place where your animal's soul will wait
for you until you pass on.
 
THEN YOU CROSS RAINBOW BRIDGE TOGETHER...
 
What you cross over to is then up to you.
 
It is nothing more, nothing less.  Read the original story and you should
come to the same conclusion.
 
Now, I can't tell you what the original story is.  The one I have on The
Original Rainbow Bridge Web site is one I saw floating around a couple
animal forums on CompuServ back in 1994.  Is this the original?  I dunno.
But I have seen others adding there own flavor of words to it.  I have not
because I want to keep it as it was originally (at least as original as I
know it) written.
