No Bruce, you're not the only one who thinks that.  I am thoroughly
convinced that Anne McCaffrey just HAD to be thinking of ferrets when she
came up with the idea of Fire Lizards.  ( I do know that one of Anne's
co-writers, Margaret Ball has ferrets!) I also catch both of my ferrets,
Worf and Phebe, reading Anne's books from time to time.  Of all the
different books on my shelves, her's are the only ones they seem to have an
intense interest in.  ( read as: My Anne McCaffery books are the ones that
are always on the floor and hidden in the tent and under the dresser, etc.)
 
Yikes!!  can you imagine ferrets with wings!!!  What a scary thought.
