Just letting you know what's up with Dino lately... he is still very very
tired and pale as a ghost, and is a little less "active" (if you can call
it that) in the past 24 hours. His wonderful vet, Dr. Purcell, has
arranged for a blood transfusion tomorrow morning, and we are truly hoping
for Dino to "snap out of it" for at least a little while... If all goes
well tomorrow, and if he recovers to a fairly stable state, he will then
undergo a bone marrow biopsy sometime during next week. I am also so
relieved to hear that it will be Dr. Bruce Williams who will analyze the
biopsy, and eventually give us his thoughts and advice on what Dino's bone
marrow is up to. Time will tell, but we will be so grateful once the
transfusion is successful, and our Dino is closer to the old Dino we know
and love... if anything, this short lease on life will let us say goodbye
a little more preparedly. Please cross fingers, pray, send good luck
vibes, anything you can think of, just this once for us. We would really
appreciate it...

And a special thank you to all of you who have sent me e-mail about your
experiences and thoughts--it's just what I was looking for, and it helps to
hear that I am not alone in this ordeal. Not that I wish this on anyone,
but it helps that I can share my heartache and frustration with others
who've been in the same boat. Thank you again, I have saved your
messages...

Last but not by any means least--a HUMONGOUS thank you to a ferret breeder
named Ace, who has generously offered her ferret Henry as a blood donator
for my Dino. I know there's a little "incentive" for you if you're reading
this Ace, but what you are offering to do is to save my little boy's life,
or at the least, prolong it and enrich it for another month or so. We
can't possibly express to you how much we appreciate that, and how grateful
we are to be able to spend more quality time with him. It may not turn out
for the best in the longrun, but we will have the ability to say a proper
good-bye to Dino, and give him THE BEST care and attention he could ever
ask for. Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts!!!

Will keep you updated, and thanks again for all your support...
