Well, the kids are all asleep, so that gives me a few minutes to write.
Thus far it seems like my ferts can't wait to meet the new kit.  They've
all been sniffing around his cage, playing at the gate.  He starts to dook
and jump around like he can't wait to get out.  I've already learned one
thing about him.  HE CAN'T STAND CAGES!!  For the most part I thought the
whining and crying was just lonliness.  I find what he is really saying is
"GET ME THE ^@#$%^& OUT OF HERE !!!!!" <sigh>
 
Well, my friend John has returned and custody of the rats, hamster and
degus are being turned back over to him.  When he left he had 50 rats.  He
returns to over 100.  Prolific little creatures, aren't they??  <Doh!!>
 
Kimo the Sumo Cat (and pseudo fert) sends his regards via his mom.  His mom
reported he was always whining, burrowing under the blankets, depressed.  I
advised her on a few things she could do to help get him settled in the new
house.  She thought I'd finally lost it.  I tried to explain he was lonley
and was calling to the ferts.  That tunneling under the covers was fert
play, he was looking for his friends.
 
Am I crazy?  Nah!!  She got him some ferretone and a stuffed plush fert
doll.  Well, he cuddles with that at night now <awwwww - sooo sweet>.
Geesh, another fert addict, er - - fert lover.
 
Just a wee bit of disharmony in the house.  Suddenly everyone wants a name
change.  Pimp said that hers was not a proper name for a female, that "Miss
P" would be better, "P" would suffice.  I could agree, I was not the one
who named her.  Caesar said that since he has a mask like a raccoon, he
would prefer "Racci" or "Bandit".  Eh, I told them I would consider it.  Of
course I drew the line when Java wanted his name changed to "De-caffienated
Beverage" <Thhhhhppppppttttt>.
 
Okay, here's one for you: "You know you're a fert lover when . . .  the
nightly news talks of "Domestic Terrorism" and you think of your fur-kids
playing in the next room".
 
In the words of my good friend, "Bill the Cat" , "Ack  Ack Thffftttttt"
