I received a call from someone who rescued 3 ferrets from a group of kids
who were said to be abusing the ferrets.  In order to get the kids to hand
over the ferrets, the rescuer promised to find someone to purchase the
ferrets for at least $100 (total for all 3, not $100 for each) this week.
 
Anyhow, the rescuer is unable to keep the ferrets himself for various
reasons, but doesn't want to give them back either since he fears they
will be abused.
