Hello all!

Quick question, have any of you ever dealt with ringworm in a ferret
before? I just got an e-mail from a ferret club member who has had
ringworm in her ferrets for 6 months now, and cannot seem to get rid of it.
She says she no longer has the time to take care of them and doesn't want
to risk the rest of her family getting ringworm. Her vet is probably the
most experienced ferret vet in the state of Nebraska, but even she is at a
loss, nothing they have tried so far has worked. I cannot take her ferrets
in because I can't put all of the shelter ferrets and my own animals at
risk, and at the moment I do not have the time or resources to quarrantine
them 100% for an extended time period, as I am also dealing with Giardia in
the shelter at the moment. If any of you have ever dealt successfully with
ringworm before, please e-mail me with what you did. I would really like
to see these ferrets stay in their current home. My e-mail address is
[log in to unmask] . Thank you for any help you can give.

Dooks and kisses to your fuzzies,
Shelley Knudsen
