I am considering purchasing a ferret, and I would like information about
them. I have a silky terrior dog, who absolutely will try to kill any
animal she comes in contact with, so I doubt she would get along with a
ferret. I was thinking I could just let the ferret out of the cage
confined to my room, but it wouldn't be able to have the run of the house
whenever I am home. That is what I do with my rabbit Floppy, so would that
be okay? Would it be better to get two? Is it better to get a ferret from
a pet store or a breeder? I am having trouble finding a breeder in my area
though, but I am definatley sure I would like a kit, rather than an adult.
Can someone give me an estimate on how much it would cost to immunize them,
and to get them neutered and descented, if they aren't already? Should I
try to choose a ferret that does not nip or is that normal for kits? And
finally, is it okay to feed Iams kitten mixed with a cheap brand of ferret
food, since it is a hassle to specially order totally ferret?

Thanks, please try to answer my questions, I would appreciate it if you
would email me at [log in to unmask] Thanks again.

Jessica
