Hi again,
I should have asked this question at the same time, sorry. Sammy has been
eating "Duck Soup" for 2 weeks & won't go back to his regular food. How do
I get him to start eating regular food again? His strength is improving
daily & he's started gaining weight again too. If it wasn't for the "Duck
Soup" that I found on Ferret Central, we would have lost him. I've been
feeding him about 2 to 3 ounces of "Duck Soup" every 3 hours around the
clock. According to our vet, that was the only thing that kept him alive
long enough so we could find out what was wrong with him. He quit eating
regular food 3 weeks ago, and also refused to drink water. On Wednesday, I
started feeding him every 5 hours, per the vet, to see if he would start
eating his normal food again. I've tried softening it, putting Feretone on
it, & even mixing it into his soup, but no luck. Any other ideas would be
greatly appreciated. Even though we are now at 5 hour rotation around the
clock, it's still real hard to get up in the middle of the night & then go
to work the next day :)
Peggy :)
