Hi Guys,
It is with a sad heart that I am writing to say that I found a mass the
size of a ping pong ball in my Patches tummy. She has had diarreaha for 6
days now. I have tried all that I know - Kaopectate, Amoxil, Centrine,
Immodium, Pedialyte.
I am feeding her duck soup 4 - 5 times a day because she won't eat on her
own. She goes in for exploratory surgery on June 9 but the vet says the
prognosis is bad. She probably won't leave the table alive.
Patches is 2 1/2 years old. This will be her 4th surgery. She had a begin
bone tumor removed from her lower jaw 1 3/4 yrs ago. She has been fine
untill now.
What I need now is the strength to let go. Accepting her probable
impending death is too hard. I have 4 other ferrets and I just keep
thinking "I don't know how I'll do this four more times."
Keep us in your prayers.
Barb
And all our fuzzies
