hi,
bha bht and ethyoxquin can/do cause cancer.... ethyoxquin is not allowed at
all in human food but it is in pet food... bht bha are in lots of food...
all 3 are a preservative....
 
i used marshalls too until they changed the formula...they added bht ( i
dont have the list in front of me) ....right now i feed equal parts of:
innova cat food
sheppard & green ferret food
eukanuba kitten food
iams kitten food
there are some new ones that i want to try but i havent yet...
 
i understand that we need preservatives in our food but there are some that
just dont belong...we can preserve our food with natural preservatives
also..  do your own research and make your own decision..for truely the
choice has and is your own...here are a couple of sites that can help you
in your decision but just make sure that you research the whole site and
click on each ingredient for all the info...it is better if you print it
out that way you can go thru it at your leasure...there are quite a few
books on the subject also..and on the api report about food on page 15
there is a woman by the name of lis anewman who has been very helpful to me
also...thought it was funny when i saw her name (made me smile that i was
truely talking to the RIGHT people)...okay here are the sites...if you or

all ferrets should be on...."sea supreme"(everyday), "super c 2000"
(everyday), "immuno stim'r" (if they dont have cancer) and "sharkra"(if
they do have cancer)....
