I know this has been addressed many times...but I admitedly did not pay
attention...and at this point in time, I do not have time to go through the
FAQ lists...
 
I am baby-sitting a ferret and he seems to be getting worse...I posted a
few days ago about his caved-in tummy...but he was up playing and alert and
all...but this morning he refused treats given out to all my fuzzies every
morning..just kinds turned his head and like licked the top of his mouth...
anyway made his mouth go funny...but would not take the treat...can't tell
if he is eating at all since i have 4 of my own...
 
he will drink water...but then he just went to a dark place and went back
to sleep...instead of running around as he has been...
 
i caught him up once and it was to go potty in a wrong place...but that
part wasn't the problem...his poop was green when i wiped it up...that
scared me!...
 
I know there have been posts here about that but it didn't concern me at
the time so i did not read them!...Dumb me!!!
 
Now he has only been with me for a few days...he is now getting Ferretone
and a treat in the morning...and he has access to the Eukanuba & Iams
kitten food that i feed mine...but i also leave some of his cat food that
they feed him out for him to eat...
 
Could this reaction simply be the change of being in a new place with other
ferrets?...and change in diet IF he is eating some of my ferrets food...
(which i hoped he would).
 
I was planning to take him to the vet on monday morn.  if i can find out if
he can charge the owners AND if their family thinks they will pay for the
vet visit...
 
they are in Spain and no way to get ahold of them...i am taking care of him
as a favor to my neice...
 
I am not only concerned for him...but my own 4 babies...
 
Please...any help will be appreciated!
