I've read many posts lately that have stated "confirmed ECE".  If I'm not
mistaken, there isn't a test to confirm it because the virus was never
isolated.
 
Quite often vets will strongly suggest ECE by a process of elimination, but
this doesn't confirm it as such.
 
Please be aware that there are many illnesses that will have symptoms that
are consistent with ECE.  Fecal exams can quite often miss them depending
on the timing of the tests and the development of the illness.
