The contract is signed and in the mail.  The United Ferret Organization
will be hosting Utah's First Ferret Rodeo and Show.  It will be June 12 &
13, 1999, at the Golden Spike Exhibition Hall, Odgen, Utah.  The hall is 3
miles off I-15 and 30 minutes north of Salt Lake City, Utah.
 
More information will be posted later.  If you are a vendor and wish to
show your products, send us an E-mail or telephone us for information.  The
exhibition hall is approximatly 21000 sqft and will have plenty of room to
show your stuff.
 
We will be sending out advertising flyers to our surrounding states,
Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado, Nevada, & Arizona.  If you belong to another
organization or club, your more than welcome to come see and participate
in the fun.
 
If your wondering what is a FERRET RODEO?  If you have ever placed a box
over a ferret and then pulled it off fast and watched the ferret jump,
twist, spin, etc.  You see where we came up with this.  But, to add to the
audiences entertainment we have added a twist.  The Ferret will be in a
large arena (FERRET CORRAL), the Ferret's human will act like a rodeo
clown.  There will be two impartial judges who will score the Ferrets
perforance and the Humans performance, 50 points max for each, just like a
rough stock performance.  The annoucer will pull the box (chute) off of the
Ferret and its human will have 30 seconds to help the Ferret jump, spin,
twist, turn, etc.  The one rule is, the human cannot touch the Ferret at
anytime during the 30 seconds.  At the end, the two scores are added
together and when its all over the top three scores will win.
 
So if you plan on being in our neck of the woods, come on down, up, or
sideways, cause we are gonna have some fun.
