To all those of you who sent your wishes and condolences on Huckleberry
Finn Ferret's passing, we at FIRST wish to thank you.  It was touching to
hear from people who didn't know him.  Karl and Tamarah, who had the
pleasure to care for him, especially would like to let you know how
uplifting the responses were.
 
A short biography of Huckleberry with some of your remarks will be added to
our website (www.ferrets.org) shortly.
 
Ophelia Ferret, Huckleberry's successor, will be taking up her duties
shortly, with her first public function in her new role being the Vancouver
Pet Fair in May.  Other than a couple of unhealed sores, she has recovered
well this past year and she will be a wonderful representive of the Society
and the ferret world in general.
