locating a shelter, or breeder, or petshop

Hello, my name is John.  I have been interested in getting a ferret for
some time now, but haven't really looked for a place to get one.  if anyone
could recommend a shelter, or a breeder, or a pet shop that they feel is ok
please let me know.  I live in the Oswego, Ny area, and Rochester or
Syracuse is not too far to drive.  Any and all recommendations are
gratefully accepted.
