Beginning January 1, 1999, rabies shots for ferrets are mandatory.
Beginning March (?) 1, 1999, a ten day quarantine is mandatory for bite
incidents WITH PROOF OF RABIES VACCINATIONS.

As far as I know, that's it. Now, for suggestions...get the distemper
shots and heartworm medication...we have lots and lots of mosquitoes in
Florida. Even if you never take the ferrets outside, the little buggers
can get in.

Squeaky noises: I heard several people suggest that perhaps ferrets react
to some squeaky toys because they sound like kits in distress????
