When checking the ingredient lists for treats for diabetic ferrets, also be
aware that STARCH in grain-based foods (like cheerios) is just two glucose
molecules stuck together.  It falls apart into two separate glucoses when
it's chewed/digested, and can wreak havoc with the poor fuzzie's blood
sugar (blood glucose) levels.  I didn't know that until we covered it in
Anatomy (Human) last month.
