Hi all!

I am new to the list. I am owned by three ferrets, Navarre, Mitchell, and
Dante. The 1 year old ferret, Dante, has been scratching at the underneath
of the box spring on my bed. He has scratched many holes in it and crawled
in on many occations. I know this can be dangerous and have covered up the
holes, but he keeps making more. I can't keep him out of the bedroom, it's
the only room in the house my ferrets are allowed (I live with my in-laws.)
Is it safe to take off the gauze on the bottom and not have any thing under
there? Is there something I can buy to cover and protect the box spring?
This happened on the couch years ago and I took the gauze off. I may have
to take it off of the box spring any way, there is not much left.

Thank You for your help in advance.

Jacci
