Looks like things are going to start to go our way.  Many of you have asked
me to provide you with the London HS's address.  I thought things would go
better if we all wrote to the court house where he'll be seen in February
(think it's the 4th).  I don't want to anger the London HS by sending tons
of letters to them.  They seem to want to help this time.
 
Please, if you are going to write use our form letter (included at bottom)
or change it to suit you keeping in mind to be polite.  Please, no angry
letters.
 
Snowy (what we're calling him) still has hay in his feces.  It's been a
week and he still continues to poop out hay.  Poor kid.  He had surgery on
his back to remove a very large abscess.  Other than that, he's starting to
trust me and will allow me to pick him up without biting me.  I hold him a
lot to make him feel safe.
 
Salem is finally home and I'm so happy.  You'd never know he had MAJOR
Thoracic surgery from the way he acts.  He did a bit of a war dance for the
vets on Sat.  He still crys a bit if he moves too quickly, but he's eating
and drinking well :o)

Dear sir,
 
I am writing in support of the SPCA and the Ferret Aid Society's case
against Mr. Robert Jarmain of Mount Brydges, Ontario, Canada.  Last year
I was horrified to learn that Mr. Jarmain was in possession of over 60
ferrets who were left in small wooden boxes in the snow, had their K-9
teeth cut out and were not given water or adequate food.
 
The Ferret Aid Society with the help of the London HS got 30 such ferrets
out of Mr. Jarmain's care and into veterinary care and later permanent,
safe homes.
 
This year, to see him yet again with more ferrets just makes me angry.  The
other animals in his care sadden me too.  In my opinion, I don't think Mr.
Jarmain should be allowed to own animals ever again.
 
Mr. Jarmain has also admitted to members of the Ferret Aid Society that he
inflicts pain on these creatures and that even though the SPCA has ordered
him not to have ferrets in his care, he will continue to keep them and hide
them from their grasp.
 
I, a ferret lover and animal lover alike, urge you to help to put a stop to
this man's animal obsession and prevent cruelty to these and other animals
in his care now and in the future.
