In the last 10 years I have had a total of five ferrets and I have never
had any major problems with introductions.  Newbies were "staggered" in
and always just hit it off.
 
Since adding Pearl a few months ago, I find that she divides her time
evenly between Pixel and Noel, (and is also the most "hold me" oriented of
the three.)  Pixel does genuinely seem to prefer sleeping alone much of the
time anyway, so it all works out.
