Hello, fellow fuzzy lovers
Every time a fuzzy goes to the bridge, there is sadness for those left
behind, even for those poor little souls who never had a human to love,
since most of us have them in our hearts. But this month is especially
hard, because it seems we are losing so many who have been so
inspirational. Ewok, the shelter mascot who even had his own column.
Valentine, Sandy's old man. Timmy, the ferret who's very life affected
so many others. And the Dodge, a ferret many of us had grown to love for
his light-hearted look into a ferret's world. These are ferrets who
personify the very reasons we love these little guys so much. I know there
are others I'm forgetting to mention, and ones that we didn't know who've
affected lives profoundly. I want to thank all of you humans owned by
ferrets for sharing their lives with us. It hurts so to lose them, even
though we've never actually gotten to meet most of them, because I know my
life has been touched by their stories in ways I'll never forget. And my
ferrets' lives have been enriched as well, in the helpful medical advise,
and the advise on how to make their lives better. But also I understand
them better, their personalities, their quirks, and I appreciate them more,
for having that little window into their world.

I am very thankful for the FML, and today I say a special prayer for all of
the fuzzies and the humans they own. May we continue to try and bring them
as much joy and happiness and love as they give us.

Sherry
