First off, sorry to anyone who wanted to see us at the AFA show this
weekend.
 
A mishap involving our Suburban and another truck.  People and ferrets are
fine.  Not so for the truck, but metal can be fixed more easily than limbs.

Fair enough.  IF the information that had been posted on that web site was
NOT from the book then my assessment was premature.  Thought I'd read the
book and was unimpressed in the past.  Perhaps I was thinking of a
different book.  Time to dig up all the old books in the library...

Black tail tips huh?
 
Most wild weasels have these.  Haven't seen them on domestic ferrets ever.
 
And the identification as Long Tailed Weasels is a complete one.  Though
the facial markings are expected.  Its the largest of the North American
weasels.  Probably full grown.  Mustela frenata.  Endangered or threatened
in parts of its range which is from Peru to Cananda.
