One thing about couch proofing and bed proofing, I'm surprised that no one
mentioned this very simple and easy way to proof the underside of your
couches... just go get a pegboard, you know those thin hard boards that
has holes (you can measure beforehand and have the lumber/home-improvement
store cut it to right size for you) and then screw it in place (most bed
and couches have wood around the edge) or you can nail it if you want but
I feel screws are more effective, those small black ones are great.
The nice thing about this is that they are cheap, thin, lighter than
plywood and already has holes in them for the bed and couch to compress air
out, and yes best of all, impossible for those claws to get thru...and its
invisible, out of the way, and doesn't create any unsightly modifications.
