Hi, Sukie,

The original question was:
>>>Is it because they are missing something in their life or what?

I wrote:

and you asked:
>Guess I have to ask -- so, what did you mean actually when you asked the

I took the original question as wondering if the only reason any of us
would have two or more ferrets in our lives was because something else was
missing. That's the basis of my answer.

I certainly didn't want to offend anyone, but will admit to being a bit
offended myself.

Can two people give eight ferrets enough individual love and attention? I
think we do, and my post about two ferret owners as roommates went into
that in detail. There is no doubt that all our ferrets are bonded to us.
While Ayeka clearly prefers Keith (and she is his ferret) and Nyssa clearly
prefers me (and she is mine), all of the others seem to love us both pretty
equally. If either of us has them out and playing and the other walks in
the door, our legs are immediately set upon by ferrets happy to see us come
home. A couple will climb right up my clothing to give me kisses on the
face. So... I think they like us, and I know we love them all. If and
when Keith and I go our separate ways, this will be very, very hard on us,
not having all eight little ones around.

Did I answer your questions?

All the best,
Caity
