Hello, lately I've noticed that my ferret Furlow has been turning white
around his neck and head, and also just getting a little lighter in color
in general. His is a sable. I also noticed that he has been eating an
awful lot and gaining quite a bit of wieght. I was wondering if this could
be because of winter coming, or is he getting sick? He seems to be doing
really good, he hasnt really gotten to run around too much through the
house like he was just being allowed to. My parents never allowed him to
because my step mom is afraid of ferrets, but since they work so much, they
allow him to when they arent here, and when they are then he has to stay
in the bedroom. But we have been infested with mice, and since the traps
werent working my dad bought De-Con. and boy did I panick! I am so afraid
that a mouse might have carried some under like the couch or somewhere that
Furlow could get to it, so I havent allowed Furlow to have run of the whole
house until I am satisfied that he cant get to any poison. He still gets
to play in the bedroom though. Any thoughts on his color change and his
increase in appetite would be really helpful to me! I just want to know if
this is normal or if I should be worried. Thanks everyone
