Hi everyone!!

Okay, here we go.. Out of sheer curiosity, I was wondering if descenting a
ferret is a bad thing or a good thing, per se. One of mine is not
descented and when the two of them wrestle, it stinks to high heaven in
here. I had to put them both away and turn on the fan, crack the window
and leave the room for about ten minutes. The reason is I have a whole
lot of allergies and I am very sensitive to smells. I am not allergic to
ferrets and they usually don't bother me at all, but when Dean poofs, my
sinuses go nuts and it hurts. So.. I don't know if descenting him is a
good idea or not, and that's why I'm asking you informative people. =) By
the way, IF I were going to, I would wait a pretty long time until I know
that he is very healthy (getting a big furry coat, getting the follow up
blood tests he will need to make sure he doesn't have adrenal problems,
etc). Also, he is about 2.5 years old, and I don't know if that makes a
difference or not.

Okay, signing off, and thanks in advance for any info you can give!

Sincerely,

Meg, Martin the Martian and Dookin' Dean!
