In the absence of Ewok, I am forwarding this update to all our friends.

The holiday Open house at Ferret Wise went off without a hitch. We
welcomed more tha 30 folks in for conversation and refreshments. Perhaps
the highlight of the day was when an older lady arrived accompanied by her
daughter ( in late 50's) the older lady was now blind and could not see,
but she wanted to meet a ferret, perhaps hold a ferret. All our guests
were so helpful. there were several ferrets available for this nice lady
to hold adn a event volunteer talked to the lady and described the ferrets
as she held them. A beaming smile told everyone here -- this was a
sucxcess. She was so impressed with the ferrets.

Aside form this we got to see some folks who live too far from the shelter
for casual visits-- and we even got to meet new fols both from the local
area and from Boston who now have seen our facility and will join us next
year again.

Yes, the directors in attendance all feel this was such a successful event -
Ferret Wise will once again in Dec 99 hold a Holiday Open house-- hope to
see you there...
