Dear FML,
I had the opportunity to meet Vickie M. of Arkansas a couple of weeks ago.
She runs a shelter in Arkansas. I drove there from Minnesota. After a
long drive I met the sweetest, most gentle soul I have ever come across.
If I ever die and come back as a ferret I want to live with Vickie. One
hour at her place, and you know that her house is a ferret house, that
allows humans. Our resident shelter mom, in Minnesota is nothing less than
an angel herself, but she's one tough cookie. I guess if I were a ferret,
going to a shelter, either of their homes would beat heck out of getting
lost outside, being stuck at the (in)humane society, or being kept in a
cage, and never getting out, or worse. My point is... the people who run
ferret shelters are living angels. My hats are off to you brave souls. I
am grateful for everything you do, and hope that everyone does everything
they can to help you with the job you do.

Dawn
