In response to a recent post regarding "incomplete spay". This is a rare
occurance. More often than not, this is a misdiagnosis and is actually an
adrenal tumor. In that your ferret is still showing symptoms--enlarged
vulva--unless your vet checked both adrenal glands, you may have to do a
second surgery to correct the actual problem. True, it does take time for
the vulva to recede, whether it be the heat cycle or adrenal problems, but
if it persists you may want to have your vet rethink this.
