Not a dumb question at all - with the warm weather coming, its an excellent
one, in my opinion!!
Yes, you can freeze food, and the method you are talking about should work
fine - I would also just add to write a date of when the food was bagged,
so you know how old it is. I would think freezing the food would extend
its shelf life by at least 6 months, possibly more.
